Kaizen Foundation completes first phase of donation to Greece’s Civil Protection

Τhe Kaizen Foundation, the international non-profit organization established and exclusively funded by Kaizen Gaming, has completed the first phase of its donation to Greece’s Ministry of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection and the Hellenic Fire Service. The donation program was designed in close cooperation with the relevant authorities, with the goal of strengthening operational readiness among both career and volunteer firefighters serving on the front line.

Equipment strengthening frontline operations

As part of this first phase, the Foundation delivered four 4×4 pick-up firefighting vehicles equipped with water tanks and high-pressure pumps, a 4×4 Type B ambulance, and six air-transportable water tanks to support aerial firefighting assets. The Fire Service and volunteer firefighting units also received 200 backpack water pumps, 100 dual-band portable radios, 400 respiratory protection masks with spare filters, and 25 concrete-cutting discs.

The Foundation selected the equipment in consultation with the relevant authorities, prioritizing its immediate operational value. It includes rapid-response vehicles able to reach hard-to-access terrain, personal protective and communications equipment that keeps firefighters safer in the field, and tools covering both firefighting and rescue needs.

Aerial surveillance throughout the wildfire season

The donation also covers the leasing costs of five complete Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) and their associated equipment for the 2026 wildfire season, running from 1 May to 31 October. Operating day and night, these systems support wildfire prevention and early detection, coordination of ground forces, damage mapping and assessment, and search-and-rescue operations to locate missing persons, with their deployment adjusted according to the Fire Service’s operational needs at any given time.

Putting frontline personnel first

Panos Konstantopoulos, President of the Kaizen Foundation, said: “Equipment alone doesn’t put out fires. People do — the men and women of the Hellenic Fire Service, who operate daily under extreme conditions, alongside volunteer firefighters and members of volunteer organizations who dedicate their time and effort — and put their own safety on the line — without asking anything in return. Their work is critical to the safety of local communities and deserves every possible form of support.

Through this donation, we aim to support and strengthen their work, providing resources that give them greater safety, speed, and autonomy exactly where it matters most. At the Kaizen Foundation, we believe that protecting human life and our natural environment is a shared responsibility — one that the state, non-profit organizations, and the private sector must all contribute to, consistently and with a long-term outlook.”

The second and final phase of the donation is expected to be completed in October 2026, with the delivery of the remaining two Type B ambulances and a nine-seat personnel transport vehicle, completing the equipment package set out in the donation agreement.

A second major contribution to Civil Protection

This initiative marks the Kaizen Foundation’s second large-scale donation to Civil Protection in under a year. In December 2025, the Foundation delivered advanced technology for wildfire surveillance and early detection, including ten drone communication and connectivity systems and an Autonomous Fire Surveillance and Detection Tower. The two donations are complementary: the first strengthened early-detection capability; the second strengthens rapid-response capability.

Support for Civil Protection falls under the Kaizen Foundation’s Society and Environment pillars of action, reflecting the philosophy behind all of the Foundation’s initiatives: long-term programs that respond to real social needs and deliver measurable, lasting benefit to society.

We strongly believe in people’s potential.
We strive to implement impactful long-term programs that aim to empower individuals and communities in need.
We stand ready to break down barriers by providing more learning opportunities to more people.
