The Kaizen Foundation Undergraduate Scholarships, in collaboration with the non-profit organization Symplefsi support talented students from remote Greek islands, ensuring that financial constraints do not stand in the way of their higher education. This initiative reflects our commitment to academic excellence, social cohesion, and equal opportunities, helping students pursue their university dreams and contribute to their communities.

About the Scholarship

Who Can Apply?

This scholarship is available to students from Greek islands with fewer than 2,000 inhabitants who have demonstrated academic excellence and intend to pursue studies at a public university.

What does it cover?

Each scholarship provides €12,000 per year to support living expenses, renewable for up to four years, based on academic performance.

Fields of Study

Scholarships are awarded for fields of study that contribute to the sustainable development of local communities and align with the foundation’s mission.

Eligibility Criteria

Who Can Apply?

To qualify, applicants must meet the following criteria:
  • Residency

    Permanent resident and high school graduate from a Greek island with fewer than 2,000 inhabitants

  • Academic Excellence

    High school diploma with a grade of 18.00 or higher

  • University Admission

    Acceptance into a public university

  • Social Considerations

    e.g., single-parent or large families

  • Financial Need

  • Motivation for Higher Education

  • Not have been selected for any other scholarship at the time of the application

Renewal Conditions

Scholarship renewal is subject to:
  • Enrolled Courses

    Successful completion of at least 80% of enrolled courses per academic year

  • GPA

    Maintaining a minimum GPA of 7.5
