The Nature Conservancy (TNC) is a leading global organization dedicated to protecting the lands and waters on which all life depends. Founded in 1951, it works in dozens of countries using science-based strategies and partnerships with governments, businesses, and local communities to tackle challenges like climate change, biodiversity loss, and water scarcity. Its efforts focus on conserving critical habitats, restoring ecosystems, and promoting sustainable practices in agriculture, fisheries, and land use.
In Latin America, TNC has been active for over 40 years, working across countries from Brazil to Argentina to protect vital ecosystems such as the Amazon and key freshwater systems. Its initiatives include forest conservation, water security projects, and nature-based solutions that support both people and biodiversity.
This work is strengthened by the support from the Kaizen Foundation, which is providing core funding to help advance TNC’s conservation efforts in the region.
